Xiaomi launched its new model through flipkart on sale from April 30th and we hear it will be available in other countries like Hong Kong, Taiwan, India, Malaysia and Singapore from May. This phone is priced at Rs.12,999/-, that is £136. 


The phone is a unibody polycarbonate smart phone. It has a matt finish with soft touch along with anti-grease coating. The phone weighs around 130g and is just 7.8mm thick. The makers have provided 5 colour options namely Black, White, orange, Light Blue and Pink.
The phone comes with a 5 inch screen. It has a resolution of 1080p with 441ppi along with JDI IPS fully laminated OGS panel. The glass of the phone is believed to be tough as the Gorilla Glass 3. This phone comes with a 13MP rear camera with a five-element lens and f/2.0 aperture and a 5MP front camera. Due to the rear camera, clicking photos under low light has been improved drastically than its predecessors. 


The phone comes equipped with a second gen Qualcomm Snapdragon 615, 64bit octa-core SOC processor with four 1.7ghz cores for improved and better performance and four 1.1ghz cores for better use of power. It has a RAM of 2GB and the internal storage of the phone is 16GB in memory but unfortunately does not support removable storage. 
This beauty is powered with a 3120mAh battery. This is the first phone to use 4.4V 700KH battery. It supports quick charging and with a full charge, the phone should last up to 1.5 days with normal use.
