Step 2:     Make sure that iPad is turned on. If not, first turn it on to create a connection between the two devices. You can press and hold the power button to power up the iPad.

Step 3: You will need a USB cable that is compatible with the iPad and other Apple devices. Simply plug in one end of the cable into your iPad and the other into the computer. It is better that you don’t use the USB hub.

Step 4: If you are connecting the iPad for the first time, your computer will prompt you to install the iPad driver. The installation process will happen automatically and will just take a few seconds. You will need internet to install this driver.

Step 5: if the iTunes doesn’t open automatically, you will need to open it manually. You can do that through the start menu.

Step 6: If this is the first time you have established the connection, the computer will ask you to run a setup. Once the setup is completed you are good to go.
